Quick Answer
Core Information
Benin: eligible for the eVisa on the passport alone
A Beninese passport qualifies for the Morocco eVisa directly — no Schengen, French or other foreign visa first, and no residence permit. Several West African nationalities can reach Morocco only by qualifying through a third document or applying in person; Benin is not among them.
A direct line to Casablanca
Benin sits on Royal Air Maroc's West African network: the airline flies Cotonou to Casablanca nonstop, in about five hours, so many Beninese travellers reach Morocco — and connect onward to Europe or North America — through Casablanca rather than routing via Paris. In a region where a great deal of long-haul travel still bends through the old colonial hubs, that is a genuinely different way in.
What the authorisation covers
It authorises a short visit; work, study or settling in Morocco runs through the Moroccan consular network instead.
Check before applying
Check that your Beninese passport has validity to spare for your dates. The document list, fees and processing times live in our Morocco eVisa guide.
