What is a qualifying document?
A qualifying document is a valid visa or residence permit, issued by a recognised country, that lets you apply for the Morocco eVisa even when your nationality is not eligible on its own. It is what moves a conditionally-eligible traveller onto the online eVisa route instead of a consulate application.
Only two kinds of document qualify: a multiple-entry visa or a residence permit from a defined list of countries. An electronic visa or travel authorisation — such as an ESTA or an ETA — never counts, and neither does a single-entry visa. The accepted lists, and the minimum validity each must have, are set by the Moroccan authorities and shown below.
Accepted multiple-entry visas
A visa qualifies you only if it is non-electronic, multiple-entry, and valid for at least 90 days on the date you submit your eVisa application. A qualifying visa can be issued by any of these:

Accepted residence permits
A residence permit qualifies you if it is valid for at least 180 days on the date you apply. A qualifying residence card or permit can be issued by any of these:

Validity requirements
Whichever document you hold, it must still meet its validity rule on the day you apply:
- A qualifying visa must be multiple-entry, non-electronic, and valid for at least 90 days.
- A qualifying residence permit must be valid for at least 180 days.
- Your passport must be an ordinary passport valid for at least 6 months (180 days) from your intended date of entry into Morocco.
