An Israeli passport qualifies for the Morocco eVisa directly, with no prior visa to a third country and no residence permit. The authorisation is issued online before departure — for most travellers a standard tourist or business trip.

For many Israelis, a trip home

Israeli travel to Morocco is unusually personal. Around half a million Israelis trace their family to Morocco — by the last census close to 473,000 were born there or have a Morocco-born father — the largest ancestral homeland among Israel's Mizrahi communities. Moroccan Jewish culture is mainstream in Israel, from the music to the Mimouna festival that closes Passover, and many travellers come to see ancestral towns and heritage sites. Morocco reopened to Israeli visitors after the two countries restored relations in December 2020, and the eVisa is the document that carries those trips.

It covers a visit — tourism, business or family — but not employment, study or residence, which go through Moroccan consular channels.
