Two kingdoms, a long but light tie

Thailand and Morocco are both monarchies, and they have kept diplomatic relations since 1985 — a tie marked, at its fortieth anniversary in 2025, with a Thai cultural festival at the embassy in Rabat. It remains a modest relationship, and one sign of that is practical: Royal Air Maroc does not serve Thailand at all, so there is no single carrier flying the whole way between the two countries.
