Quick Answer

Angolan passport holders are not eligible for the Morocco eVisa on the passport alone. Eligibility rests on an accepted multiple-entry visa or residence permit — for many Angolans a Portuguese, and therefore European Union, residence permit meets that condition. Angolan eligibility usually runs through Portugal

An Angolan passport does not open the eVisa on its own. For Angola the route abroad leads mostly to Portugal, and a Portuguese — and so European — residence permit is the document that most often qualifies.

Relations were long distant and are only recently warming: in 2023 the two countries revived their joint cooperation commission for the first time in a decade, signing accords across mining, tourism and higher education.

Which documents make you eligible

Eligibility rests on a second document you already hold. Morocco accepts two kinds, and they are not interchangeable — one is a visa, the other a residence permit:

An accepted multiple-entry sticker visa. A valid multiple-entry visa issued by the Schengen Area, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan or Ireland. It must remain valid for at least 90 days from your arrival in Morocco. A single-entry visa does not qualify.

An accepted residence permit. A valid residence permit issued by any European Union country, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Norway, Switzerland or the United Arab Emirates. It must remain valid for at least 180 days from your arrival.

The document must be genuine, currently valid and in your own name. Because these conditions decide the whole trip, confirm yours with the eligibility check before you rely on it.

Where Angolan applicants usually qualify

Angola's closest ties in Europe are with Portugal, and the large Angolan community there generally holds a Portuguese residence permit — an EU permit, and so accepted. A multiple-entry Schengen visa qualifies in the same way, as does a US or UK visa. An Angolan passport on its own does not open the eVisa route.

If you hold none of these documents

Then the eVisa is not available, and you would apply for a consular visa at the Moroccan mission responsible for Angola.
